November 2014 Family Update

Since Wesley is over 1 now (crazy!) I'll start posting family updates instead of his monthly updates which usually included family updates anyways!

I took Grace to a Frozen tea party at the children's museum in town.  Memere and Pepere bought us a membership as a Christmas present and we have already gotten good use out of it!  Thanks aunt Lulu and uncle David for watching Wesley!

They did several crafts, but this was my favorite.  Olaf!

Christine (pictured reading the book) is the event organizer at the Children's museum.  I must say I was very impressed...everything was very well run.  We look forward to the daddy/daughter dance in February!

Elsa and Anna showed up at the end of the party AND they each sang a song.  There were from the a local theater and they could sing for real!  Here is Elsa singing "Let it go!"

Grocery shopping buddies

Liz came to visit one Tuesday.  Henry and Wesley are about 1.5 months apart!

These two!  Gray's daddy, Paul, coaches at Raegan High School.  Their soccer team won the state championship this year!  We were so happy to be able to make it to a game! Thanks to the Williams family for watching Wesley :)

We watched Walker for Alison so she could take Gray to one of the soccer games.  Grace and Wesley thought he was fun :)

Whenever I hear laughter (or crying) down the hall, I know these two are hard at play!

Following in daddy's footsteps, haha

I couldn't resist...Grace fell asleep reading her book...she's underneath.

Not sure how this got left out of Memere's visit on Halloween.  We went to the children's museum and the kids wore us out!

I think this was after coming home from a conference I worked at for work.

Don't all 3.5 year olds jump on trampolines dressed as princesses?

Wesley can stand on his own and even take some steps.  He thinks it's funny to make you think he's about to walk, and then fall to his knees and crawl.

Yep.  Sibling love at its finest!

Wesley using a spoon for the second time!  Let's be real, first time events are only caught on camera for the first child, haha.

Peek-a-boo!

Sibling sensory fun

From now on I'll be shortening the writing portion of these posts!  No more monthly updates on Wesley's height, foods, etc.  Instead, I'll let you know how you can pray for us and anything else that is going on.

Wesley: is becoming MUCH more independent.  PHEW.  It helps that as he gets older, he really enjoys playing with his sister more and more.  He loves copying her, chasing her, and following her in general.  He is becoming a picky eater at times, but we can't complain.  Wesley is SO close to walking independently...I imagine it will happen by our next update!
Grace: is an incredible big sister.  I mean it!  She loves playing with Wesley (most of the time) and shares her toys really well.  She is always watching out for him and doesn't want him to get hurt.  Wesley bit her a few weeks ago and he bit her hard.  She screamed, "WESWEE bit me from his mouth!!!!!!"  She was crying and really upset.  I popped Wesley's hand, which caused him to cry, which caused Grace to cry even more because she didn't want him to "get in trouble with Daddy".  It was preciously sad, haha.  After talking about forgiveness, she turned to him and said, "Weswee, I forgive you, but you really hurt my feelings".
Kristen: I am sailing smooth with school work right now.  It's very manageable and I like being on a schedule, so it works.  My job is going well, too.  I am working on professional development that we will hopefully upload to our website soon.  Balancing all of my jobs can feel overwhelming at times, but usually I feel pretty efficient.  I can always use prayers for balancing life!  Also, I get so caught up in my schedules and lists that I often leave spending time with God out OR I'll just say that I'll get to it when my list is complete...basically procrastinating time with God...a lot.  I need to be more intentional about that.
Jimmy: This past month of work for Jimmy was BRUTAL.  Just brutal.  His call shifts were all grouped together (which just happens sometimes) so he ended up working a TON.  Grace has the hardest time with Jimmy being gone, and it was definitely starting to show.  We are so proud of Jimmy and he never complains about working so much, but he was becoming completely sleep deprived.  Fortunately he got caught back up on sleep on his first weekend off in a long time.  He will finish up in the general OR and start OSC next which is outpatient surgery center.
