My DIY Project: Under the bed storage solution!

Puzzles drive me nuts.  I love them for my kids, but the pieces, oh the pieces.  I thought a puzzle rack might work, but couldn't find any with enough spaces for the number of puzzles we have.  Then I thought that maybe Jimmy could build one...but where would I put it?  The problem is not that we don't have enough space, it's that we have too much stuff!  I scoured Amazon for some under the bed storage bins, but thought it might be wise to take a break from Amazon Prime.  Naturally my next step was to find a solution on Pinterest and VOILA:

This is not my final product, but the inspiration.  This blogger did a DIY project with under the bed storage boxes made out of cardboard boxes y'all!  FREE.

This made me think.  I have boxes.  I also have leftover paint from Wesley's room.  Once nap time began, I was on a serious mission.

Steps 1 & 2: Find boxes from the recycling bin, cut off the flaps, and paint

Step 3: Fill with toys and put underneath the bed!

Perfect solution for puzzles and books from Wesley's room!  While he obviously still sleeps in his crib (which is on the other side of the room), he'll most likely end up in this bed, or we'll turn the crib into a bed.  We like having a bed available for guests, so it's staying!

The boxes aren't exactly even levels and there are some blemishes if you look real close, but it was FREE!
