Jimmy and I have been looking forward to having our nursery complete for awhile. We knew that once that room was set up, things would seem more real, and we would feel more ready. Now, after a weekend full of work (and help from family members) we have a completely adorable nursery for our baby girl AND a few other organized spaces.
Saturday morning began with Jimmy cleaning out the rest of his school stuff from the nursery (thank you again for giving up the space and moving to a new one). My aunt Cindy and uncle Linton showed up a few hours later. We began by clearing everything out of the nursery so we could start with what my aunt calls a "clean slate for designing". My mom and dad showed up shortly after we finished cleaning out the room, and the process began!
The boys put together the daybed and crib while the ladies sorted through a "to keep" and "to give away" pile (we were able to rearrange the guest room/office and the garage before lunch). Once the crib and daybed were set up, the ladies got to decorating! We put an adorable, pink comforter on the daybed which is what I plan on using as a changing table and will be our baby girl's future bed so our next little one will get the crib. After the daybed, we put all of the crib bedding together and WOW...Winnie the Pooh and our little girl are going to be best friends :)
After all of the bedding was complete, we began organizing the closet. We took a short (hehe) trip to Target, Home Goods, and Marshalls and then we had everything we needed for the closet. The closet was a longer process but we were able to hang up all of the clothes, organize socks and other items into colorful bins, and now we have a temporarily organized closet! Jimmy and my dad took a trip to Home Depot where they bought a white shelf to be mounted onto the wall. The shelf was mounted, very evenly I must say :) and my mom and I started putting decorative items on it. Something really cute is the polka dots above the crib and the butterfly/flower arrangement above the shelf...those are stick-ons from Target. We still have a few items to add like a table for the lamp, and aunt La's lovely night light.
So, after a long weekend, and a lot of hard work from many people, we now have a BEAUTIFUL nursery ready to go for our baby girl (but take your time darling...we aren't completely ready yet...). Thank you to my family and Jimmy...a lot of patience was needed and much change occurred over this weekend but we are soo pleased with the result and could not be happier! Come see it in person!!!

The nursery is complete!

Love the crib :)

If you know me, then you know a touch of polka dots was a must...they are only stick-ons! No paint.

This was my nana's and now we are able to use it as a multi-purpose daybed.

Where baby girl will be rocked to sleep...

My dad and Jimmy putting the crib together :)

We already had the Pooh plate and my aunt Cindy found a cute handprint and footprint frame to go with it on the wall.

CUTE lamp from Target...we will be putting this on a small white table in front of the window soon.

Everything a closet needs: cute clothes and organizational bins from Target!

Growth chart :) I was already 2 feet when I was born, so I only grew a little over 3 feet in my life...hopefully our baby girl will have a different story to tell on her growth chart hehe.

Cute baby clothes hamper from...you guessed it: Target!

One of my favorite accessories in the room...

The boys did a good job with the shelf...it added that final touch!

ADORABLE Hunny jar from Sears and Pooh piggy bank from my friend, Lindsay. The butterfly and flower are both stick-ons.

I found a whole set of these alphabet books from Costco. I bought them because they have Winnie the Pooh on each letter...we hope to spell out our baby girl's name with these letters on the shelf...

Framed bible verse of Jeremiah 29:11, some cute stuffed animals, and more stick-ons!
