February has already been a long, busy month. I have had two baby showers thrown for me and helped host a wedding shower...all in only two weekends. Jimmy and I are beyond blessed to have such amazing support from family and friends!
The first weekend of this month kicked off in Columbia, South Carolina. The Green family hosted a baby shower for me and it was fabulous! There was a wonderful turnout, delicious food, and even better baby gifts. I left that shower with everything I need to have our baby girl right now! We have our stroller, car seat, plenty of clothes, books, boppy, stroller cover....the list goes on and on!! The Greens have been good family friends of ours since I can remember and I am so thankful for the wonderful baby shower. I can't wait to show our baby girl pictures of the shower :)
The second weekend of this month brought me to Lake Greenwood, South Carolina. This weekend involved two showers: one bridal and one baby shower. The bridal shower was for my friend Beth and it went really well. My mother, Katie, Ma Holmes and I all threw the shower for Beth at Ma Holmes's beautiful lake house. Later that night after the shower all of the AGD's (American Girl Dolls...a nickname from college) went out for Japan food (as Liz would say) and then the girls threw a baby shower for me at the house. There were tasty pink cupcakes, zesty chips and salsa, and pink M and M's. We played Mad Gab and I got to open some more baby gifts! I now have my Bumbo, more cute clothes, a cute diaper wreath and a gift card that I am ready to spend. It's sooo nice to have fellowship with good friends; that weekend away was much needed.
As for baby girl Turner, (still no agreed upon name) she is growing daily! I have another doctor's appointment next week so I plan on asking about her current size and weight. Instead of feeling little jabs and kicks I am feeling whole body movements. I can look down and see an elbow move across my stomach...soo weird, but also soo cool. At pretty much any time of the day I can feel one of her body parts and for some reason that makes me feel more pregnant (as if I don't look it enough already haha).
Jimmy and I are counting down the days!!! Today would have been my Nana's 88th birthday. This birthday was her first birthday with Jesus, so I decided that it would be really nice if baby girl Turner was born on April 5th. April 5th is the day my Nana passed away last year and I think it would be such a sweet blessing if that date stuck with our family the rest of our lives in a positive way, in memory of Nana :)
