Jimmy and I have recently been convicted of our patience...or lack of. You see, it's soo exciting waiting on our daugher to be born, that we found ourselves getting frustrated that she hasn't come early...how dare she! Waiting on a baby to be born is worse that waiting on Santa, the Easter bunny...at least we know that day those holidays are on.
God has a way of teaching us through life experiences and this happens to be one of the larger experiences :) In the book of James it talks about perservering through trials. Although we are not going through a serious trail per se because we were incredibly blessed to get pregnant, we are being faced with the trial of patience. Patience is a quality I want my daugther to have so if I lack it now, she won't be off to a very good start, will she? Even though we are learning a quality of Grace's (stubborn) I want patience to be a quality that I always have, before and during her life.
Right now I am on maternity leave due to my doctor not liking the swelling in my feet and legs. I have never been good at "relaxing" but am taking the opportunity to do that this week. I have no worries about being out of work due to my awesome class of students and wonderful long term substitute. Everyone keeps telling me that I should enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts...I guess that is true.
Grace's due date may be Wednesday, April 13th but that's just a date based on a chart. God may have a different plan for her birthday...and who can argue with Him? Jimmy and I will serve Him while we patiently wait on the gift of our baby girl to be born. Thank you to everyone who has been following, supporting, and praying for us. We just ask that you do it a little bit longer and join us in being patient :)
"Blessed is the man who perserveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."
-James 1:12
Sincerely,
