First word is.......

Weight: 15 and a half pounds...based on our digital scale
Height: not sure...will know more at the 6th month appt.
Moods: Very happy (especially when daddy is around) She likes to laugh out loud, babble and stopped crying when going to sleep or nap!
Favorite foods: milk and rice cereal :) We even tried a few foods like sweet potatoes and bananas (puree of course) to see what she likes...she LOVES sweet potatoes. We won't put her on those type of foods until 6 months.
Favorite new toys: bouncy exersaucer and anything she can reach when sitting up :)
Noises: "dada" NO JOKE...we have a daddy's girl on our hands...
Favorite hobbies: chewing on anything and everything, drooling, grabbing feet, jumping, SITTING up by herself for a long time...
Playtime: She can sit and play without falling over :) She can even reach to grab things and sit back up instead of faceplanting on the floor, haha!

5 months ago today we had a newborn baby girl in our arms that was a few days old...today we have a chunky monkey that is sitting up on her own and starting to babble and scream out loud! It's true, Grace has already starting saying her first word...DADA. She doesn't know what she is saying, but we'll take it. Heaven forbid her first word be the person who is with her ALLLL day and got up every night for months...honestly, I kind of like that her first word was "dada". People say that "dada" is easier to say than "momma", but no jealousy here...just pure delight!!

Everyday Jimmy and I find ourselves staring at our precious girl saying, "I can't believe how big she has gotten". People have been telling me since the day she was born, "treasure every moment because they grow up soo fast" and that is a saying I have heard people tell MY parents forever...now it is hitting home. Grace seems to change overnight. One day she cannot sit up on her own...the next day she can. One day she is cooing...the next day she is screaming "DADADA" when she wake up. Maybe that is the reason I feel that it is sooo important to blog and take hundreds of pictures a month. I don't want to forget a minute of each stage she goes through...

BLESSED beyond belief,
Jimmy and Kristen
