Headed to the graduation banquet
Dr. Turner with Dr. Ober :)
There was time for some dancing...
The Kunzs...best buds since first year! We went from no kids to three kids between the two of us AND now two doctors on our hands :)
Grace seemed to be most impressed with Jimmy's hat...
The Turners
The Graciens
Lewis clan (yes, I changed it up because I wasn't sure where to put the apostrophe in their name...enlighten me someone!)
The Nycums-they have been an awesome support system in Winston!
Ella and Joanna get major props for driving from Georgia just to see Jimmy's hooding ceremony and then driving back the same night...the things we do for family!
The McDades
Graduation Party
Undergrad Graduation-the med students were part of the beginning of the ceremony
Four years ago at their white coat ceremony!
Look at them now!
Dr. Jimmy getting his diploma :)
I can take some credit for this diploma...purely the emotional, wifey and domestic support part, not the academic part.
Dr. Frazier and Dr. Turner
Dr. Kittner and Dr. Turner (so glad she will be here in Winston with us over the next four years!)
The Williams...looking forward to spending the next four years in Winston with them as well.
Pavani...she'll be back to Winston in a year to finish out her residency.
As you can imagine, it was an exhausting weekend! It was super rewarding at the same time, don't get us wrong. We are so thankful to the family and friends that have supported us as a family of three, even though we didn't start medical school out that way. Technically, Jimmy has gained a person per year of medical school. He began his first year when we were engaged and I lived in SC. We got married right before his second year, making it two. At the very end of his third year we had a beautiful baby girl together...what a wonderful four years we have experienced. We are thankful for the friends we met throughout medical school and are sad to see them leave, but grateful for those that will be staying in Winston with us. Thank you to everyone, but most importantly to our Heavenly Father who wrote the beautiful script of what we like to call the lives of our family of three. To God be the glory for blessing Jimmy with the ability to get into and graduate from medical school. We would be NOWHERE if it were not for Him.
