Grace and Brooke, playing in the sand together. My good friend, Gretchen, watches Grace on Mondays while I go into work. The girls LOVE playing together and remember, they are 11 days apart!
"Mom, it's hard being a lefty like you..." Grace had to learn to eat with her left hand since her right one was broken...she did pretty well!
Daddy is a good teacher :)

Residency Update: In Winnie the Pooh's words, "Oh, Bother!". This month on the vascular ICU has been tough. It has been rough for Jimmy adjusting to nights (totally understandable). He has been working 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. by the time rounding is finished. Jimmy comes home to talk for a minute but then he has to get some rest. He usually wakes up in time to see us for another hour or two, eats "dinner" and then heads back to the hospital. Friday nights are his "off day/night". Honestly, it doesn't really feel like an off day/night to him because he still has to stay up and sleep in like the other days. However, I do try and stay up as late as possible with him to hang out. The nights I stay up with him seem to work out because Grace usually sleeps in a little, so that is nice! My optimistic personality recognized that if Jimmy were working the day shift right now (7-7) he wouldn't get to see Grace at all because she wakes up at 7 a.m. and goes to bed at 7 p.m. That seemed to help Jimmy a little but overall it has been hard for him. His next rotation is OB and he starts his first week on nights. That will be good because he won't have to go back to days and then again back to nights...he will just get his night week shift out of the way. Thanks to all my friends for keeping me busy with girls nights and hanging out in the evening! I try to use that time wisely and do some work, study for class (I am auditing an OT class), reading and a little tv.
Interests: her new play kitchen, boxes for slides, baby doll (feeding/taking care of)
Sleep habits:
Naptime: 12:00 (2-3 hour nap each day)
Bedtime: 7 p.m.-7:00 a.m. (some evenings bed time is later if her nap is longer)
Favorite foods: any veggies, beans...I am starting to be convinced this girl is a vegetarian...she won't eat any meat!
Teeth: 15
Words spoken: She is very verbal and even likes to repeat everything I say :)
Firsts: self time-out (haha), cast sawed off (not fun!), play kitchen...she loves to pretend, BATH after not being able to take a real one for several weeks and RUNNING...full on running!
