Two kids>one kid
That's my current excuse for not doing much of the curriculum with Grace lately. Sometimes I'm really into it and planning all the time. Then there are other times where I can't devote much time to it. Like now. My work has picked up with a new deadline so I'm working during nap time and when the kids go to bed. Here is what we have most recently worked on:
5 senses talk: I should have planned better and had out different things for Grace to experience with her senses. I let Grace give me examples of things she could see, smell, etc.
Teacher mommy birthday gift
I love these pattern block templates from Melissa and Doug!
We have started to practice writing letters. My friend, Gretchen, gave me the idea of writing with a yellow marker, then letting Grace trace it. Grace is a little bit interested, so we are just taking it slow.
Pom pom Easter egg painting
I highly recommend this children's book about Easter!
Before: cross suncatcher
After
The Easter bunny was generous :)
I saw these at the Dollar Tree and I couldn't resist...
Wesley's 1st Easter :)
Before: cinnamon roll bunny breakfast
After: they turned out great and were yummy, too!
Aunt Cindy brought these when she and Uncle Linton came for Grace's birthday party. I saved it to put out on Easter morning. Grace LOVES marshmallows.
Our friend, Chris, gifted Grace some window chalk. The stuff is awesome! I wrote on the door for Grace's birthday and also put a bible verse up for Easter.
Easter egg hunt 2014
In pajamas!
Jimmy was on home call on Easter. Yep, he was called in and wasn't able to make it to church. Thank you Lindsay for coming to take a picture of us (minus daddy) with my camera!
Christ is risen from the dead! We teach Grace that Jesus was nailed to the cross to die for our sins but she understands it this way:
Jesus got some boo boos and now he is in Heaven with God. That will do for now :)
