Wesley is 7 months old!

Wesley @ 7 months old

Grace @ 7 months...is it even a question that he is a boy version of her??

Loving on Ollie the Octopus

His favorite new toy and game to play

Two teeth!

Two of my favorite people (besides Daddy, of course!)

Our home fellowship group!  We meet every Wednesday with these fine people :)  They have become family to us over the past three years.  The group has changed but we love every single person!  The Walters (middle couple) are moving to Memphis this week.  We are SO sad to see them go but at the same time we are incredibly proud to call them our friends!

Entertainment

Gosh I love this little ham!

I am so SAD to report that Brooke is moving!  Grace's best buddy is moving up north which is great for her family but sad for us.  We are really happy that it has worked out for them as they have been wanting to do this for awhile.  We sure will miss them!

I think this picture is a few months old but I forgot to include it previously.  Wesley and Levi are buddies :)

This happened a few days ago.  What had happened was Jimmy asked me to trim his neck hair.  He handed me the device (which I had only used once before) and I went the wrong direction.  I immediately couldn't stop laughing...for like 30 minutes.  Every time Jimmy stormed past me (in an angry rage for about 10 minutes) all I could see was my mistake and I couldn't hold it together.  Eventually he laughed about it :)

My friend, Elise, so graciously offered to fix his hair, military style.  I actually really like it this way!   Oh memories :)

Memorial Day 2014
We have had some neighborhood cookouts the past few Memorial Days.  This year was great because some new neighbors came.  We set up in David and Lindsay's front yard and just had a blast!

"Da Da" cuteness!

People always ask, "Who does Wesley look like, you or your husband?"  This picture is evidence that it's really neither of us, he is a mini Grace!

Those rolls!

Yummy banana

Watching sister paint

Sibling love

Grace has been asking to jump on this thing for over a year.  I finally let her and she had a blast!

Sweet Girl

Sweet Boy

Weight/Height/Head: won't have until 9 month check up
Moods: Incredibly happy :)
Favorite foods: sweet potatoes and bananas
Favorite toy: plush soccer ball!
Sounds: "da da" (see video above) and lots of laughter
Teeth: 2 bottom teeth
Favorite hobbies: sitting up and grabbing different toys, rolling around to grab Grace's toys and immediately insert them into his mouth
Sleep habits: 3 naps a day and sleeps 7-6:30 through the night!
Clothing Size: 6-9 months and some 9 month stuff still
Big sister update: Grace's magnet chart has worked WONDERS!  We have a new child on our hands...phew!  Grace continues to be helpful by grabbing diapers, wipes, feeding bottles, and sharing toys with her brother.  I adore watching the two of them together!
Kristen's work update: I am still developing cases for our current ELA project.  In addition to that, I am doing professional development with problem based learning.  This summer I will be doing several training sessions teaching other teachers how to use PBL.  I am really looking forward to it!  I have also started contemplating graduate school...so crazy!  I am in the process of praying and researching my options.  I want to be a principal one day so I need to get my masters in educational leadership.  I think within the next year or so would be a good time so I can ease back into the classroom and hopefully an administrative position in the near future (like when the kids are in school or right before).  You can be praying for that!
Residency Update: Jimmy has been on vascular this month.  It feels like a normal schedule but you can never say that about residency!  He had Memorial Day weekend off!  It was so strange and yet so wonderful to have him around.  We have one of his vacation weeks coming up and are looking forward to that!  You can pray for guidance with our decision about Jimmy's future after residency.  He is about to complete his second of four years of residency.  During this next year, we have to figure out if he will do a fellowship (specialize) and if private practice or an academic institution is the best option for pursuing a job.
