To say we were all looking forward to this beach trip is a MAJOR understatement. This was our first vacation or break in awhile and Holden beach was calling our name! It was our first trip to this beach and was definitely one of my favorites. Thank you to all our family for helping with the kiddos. Thank you Jimmy for staying in the house with the kids while they napped so I could go out on the beach and relax! Cue beach waves...
The kids shared a room together and Wesley even slept in a big boy bed the whole time! They did great in the same room for the most part, except waking up at 6:00 a.m. almost on the dot each morning...just in time for the sun rise ;) Who doesn't eat Popsicles for breakfast on vacation??
We are spoiled by the ocean front locations these past few years. We actually prefer it that way...it's SO beautiful to wake up to the ocean and to be able to look at it all day up front.
Gorgeous sunrise
Memere and aunt Cindy helping with the kids. At high tide it was best to have a 1:1 with the kids because the waves were pretty strong and Wesley kept wanting to hug them.
Pepere loves to fly his kite at the beach.

Wesley and his dump "tuck"
"Bury me, mommy!" DONE.
No napping on the couch with kids awake (they actually napped fabulously, Pepere just chose a bad time to take his).
Daddy and his kiddos
Yummy seafood broil
One of the most beautiful moments from our trip...there was actually a double rainbow!
I'm not one for selfies, but vacations are exceptions :)
Uncle Linton playing a song for the kids.
Uncle Jordan arrived on Wednesday from California. He was able to surf on both coasts in 24 hours. Pretty cool!
Memere and her sweet pea
Crazy, cute boy
My babies!
Dorito anyone?
We found an awesome playground to bike to one morning.
I could include the one where we are all looking and happy, but then you would miss out on this gem :)
Uncle Jordan and Grace making a sand castle
Grace was proud
There was a group from Amsterdam at the beach and Jimmy was able to join them for some football.
What uncles are good for!
Sunset
Uncle Jordan needed a drink while buried in the sand...handy Grace to his rescue.
Wesley had a fever on Tuesday and just acted tired all day. Grace developed a fever on Thursday so she and Jimmy stayed home and napped while we went out to dinner. They were both fine the next day, fortunately.
WHAT? The trash man comes to the beach???
This will be a classic, I'm sure!
Family pic (minus Cindy and Linton...wish there was more overlap in their visit!)
Memere, Pepere and their grands
The Gracien clan
THANK YOU Diana for the recommendation...I couldn't leave this place out! Delicious chicken biscuit on our way out of town....
