August marks the end of summer break for myself and the kids. I made sure to take the kids to a few new places before we went on our beach trip. When we returned from our vacation, it was back to work for everyone!
I realized I hadn't taken Wesley to SciWorks before and since we have a zoo membership we were all able to get in half price.

August Update
This summer flew by for us! I was able to be home with the kids and we enjoyed lots of play dates, walks and visits to different places. Jimmy continued being busy with all his residency stuff, but he was able to do many things with us this month, including our beach trip (see previous post). We love the summer time but love the Fall even more...bring on the cooler weather and football!!
I accepted a new position at a different elementary school. I am the testing coordinator at my new school and it's a lot of work! It's going to be good experience, though. I am at the school where my mentor principal for graduate school is located and where I'll do a 16 week internship in the Spring. It's a great advantage to be able to get to know the staff and the learn how the school works before spending a lot of time as an intern in the school.
Jimmy continues to be busy...all the time. He balances a lot and I greatly respect him for his dedication to the field of anesthesia. BUT, it's difficult having him gone a lot, especially when he has long call stretches, so if you could pray for both of us, we would appreciate it. He is currently on pediatric anesthesia and that's always an emotional rotation. Seeing sick children every day only to come home to healthy ones is humbling.
Grace and Wesley began another year at their church pre-school. THANK YOU to Diana, Kim, Rachel, Kaitlyn and Kelsey for being such great friends and babysitters! Pre-school started a few weeks after my work so I needed some help with care for the kids...it's so encouraging to have a great community of friends that will help us out! SO thankful for y'all! Now that the kids have started a new year, they LOVE it and will be going five days a week due to my work schedule. Grace is officially in the 4 year old pre-school class...yes, that means she'll be starting kindergarten next year...AHH! Grace and Wesley have been loving each other well, but as you all know, sibling love is tough love. You can pray for them to put each other first and to be quick to apologize instead of worrying about getting in trouble, first.
