"A son will marry and take a wife, but a daughter is a daugther for the rest of her life"

The quote above is from a friend of mine (Tori) at school. This quote is precious, and sums up the journey of having a little girl. Now wait a minute, all of you parents are thinking, "What does she know? She hasn't even had her child yet.." Well, I am a daughter, and with all of the daugthers that I know...this quote proves to be true.

Jimmy and I couldn't be more excited about our future with baby girl Turner coming soon! We haven't picked names just yet, but we have picked the crib bed setting (I know, seems trivial...but it makes me feel somewhat prepared)! Winnie the Pooh is our nursery theme and we couldn't think of anything better. Jimmy was raised with Winnie the Pooh, and I remember reading the books when I was little as well. There is SOO much Winnie the Pooh merchandise at the baby stores that it can almost be overwhelming! We couldn't think of a more wholesome theme, and look forward to transforming Jimmy's office (yes, he has reluctantly agreed to give it up) into our precious baby girl's new room.

Over the next few months up until our baby girl does arrive, I plan on posting pictures of the nursery, sharing the name we choose, and updating you on our exciting happenings or any funny drama that may occur...and trust me, it has/will occur! The Lord has blessed us beyond measure, and we want to share our stories with you up until and after our baby girl enters this world.

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.”
-Winnie the Pooh

  1. The two of you are so precious to me! I can tell you that THIS Nana is so excited to be welcoming another sweet granddaughter into the Turner clan. I eagerly await reading about the journey that you and Jimmy are taking as you get ready for the "big day". I LOVE the Winnie the Pooh theme...and since David and I are going to Disney World tomorrow to celebrate my birthday, I can begin my shopping for the wee one!

  2. Your parents are so excited about our soon to be "mini me" grand-daughter. We are sure she will be as sweet, kind and thoughful as her mother. We are counting down for the big day and ready to help whip the nursery into shape and clear out the furniture in our garage.
