Halloween is such a fun tradition but we backed off of things this year. I feel like the kids can get in the habit of expecting special things each weekend and they need to learn that sometimes we are JUST home...I'm not going to entertain you, buy things for you, or take you anywhere...just be home! It also helps that we have Anna Ruth now so we are more likely to stay home and relax than pack up and head anywhere just yet.
Check out our journey through Halloween over the past few years!
Anna Ruth wore the same costume Wesley did when he was two days old for Halloween! She was a "post call residency doctor" just like daddy used to be. Yay for no more call shifts like those!
Look at newborn Wesley (2013)!!
Back to this year...Owlette and Spider Man!
Timmy the t-rex and the kids...we love trick or treating with the Cloers! Such a fun tradition.
Jimmy and Dr. Anna Ruth Turner, hehe. This was about an hour before we left to trick or treat.
Found this when I was searching through Wesley's newborn pictures :) Wesley and Jimmy in 2013.
Joshua Cloer and Anna Ruth, two peas in a pod!
Here's what Halloween has looked like over they years for us since having kids:
2011: Grace was Pooh Bear
2012: Grace was Elmo (HI aunt lulu in the background!)
2013: Grace was Minnie Mouse and Wesley was just 2 days old!
2014: Grace was Elsa and Wesley was Olaf
2015: Grace was Doc McStuffins and Wesley was a puppy dog
2016: Grace was Owlette and Wesley was Spider Man
Mad props to Jimmy for spending the time to make this Halloween party snack for Wesley's preschool class! This was my first day back to work without back-up...so I had a lot of prepping to do the night before.
Happy Halloween! The pumpkin tradition continues as well. Jimmy carves whatever the kids ask for, pretty much. Grace chose Owlette and Wesley chose a "mad face jack o lantern".
